Double Happiness 喜 喜 is a Chinese symbol that is used for Chinese wedding decoration.
The Chinese symbol is composed of two Chinese characters for Happiness 喜 (xi). It is called Double Happiness.
The local custom in Tianjin is that a single 喜 decoration is put on the bride's home meaning her family is not 'double' happy since she left her parents.
So the picture I took, probably, is groom's home. :)

What a wonderful and beautiful custom! I love the thought of happiness hearts. Thank you so much for sharing them - and for telling us the background of this delightful tradition.
such lovely delicate hearts!!!
What a grand custom! I do like these doubly happy hearts!
Interesting... the little things we learn from one another amazes me!
Yeah, kinda sad in the bride's home since most girls don't move out until they get married. So their absence is felt when they get married.
I grew in Malaysia. I cried when my sis got married coz she was my roommate...
