Night beauty

As I pass by this park every day (daytime), I see this dirty water and its smell is just disgusting. Then one evening as passing through the park, took out my camera and did this lovely photos.

I'm so excited I'm going on my one-week trip to south China. Can't wait. :)

Have a great week.

Bench shadows

A small park in the campus. I'm so happy we got some blue and clear skies today, so I could take some shadow shots.

I've been off SSS for some time. Happy to join the fun again.

Mid-autumn festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals.

The traditional food of this festival is the moon cake. They are cakes with a sweet, dense filling.
The moon cake may contain one or more whole salted egg yolks in its center to symbolize the full moon.

Many types of fillings can be found in traditional moon cakes according to the region's culture.

Chinese family members and friends gather to admire the bright mid-autumn moon and eat moon cakes.Happy Moon festival!

Korean cuisine

glutinous rice sticks. My fave dish, tapoki

I love kimchi, traditional Korean food.

There are many Korean restaurants here.
And I have a few Korean friends. So occasionally I treat my senses, since it's not just eating with the mouth. The arrangement of the food, the rich smell, just wonderful.

Alien feeling

A hotel opposite the main building of the uni. The campus at night.

Feelings of isolation and loneliness sometimes do attack me. The cultural and language barriers encourage these feelings of alienation and detachment.

But I also feel the closeness of my family, friends in my heart. You can be a meter away from a person and yet feels he/she is a real stranger to you.

Thank you.
