The magic city of Sozopol, Bulgaria

Just came back from my great holiday. Sozopol is located 35 km south of Burgas on the southern Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria. I love its cosy cafes, cobble-stoned streets, fantastic food, the serenity of the whole place.

Now I have less than two weeks at home before I go back to China. Will try to be here more often and share the amazing photos I took.
Thank you all and have lovely summer days...

Celebrating Orthodox Easter in China

Easter is a really big holiday in Macedonia. Since I'm in China now I celebrated with my classmates from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia.

Here are the eggs that I dyed for Easter.

This unusual technique is the traditional Slavic Orthodox Christian style of decorating eggs, using stocking and leaves.

We color with the eggs with some powder substances. But here I couldn't find any, so we used the traditional way of dying the eggs. And the healthy one. Onion peel.

Usually on Thursday before Easter eggs are dyed. The eggs are colored red, symbolizing the coming happiness in the resurrection.

On Sunday, eggs are tapped, end to end.

This is my Easter artwork and I'm so proud of it. :)

Wine and love

In Macedonia, majority of the people being Orthodox Christian, celebrate St. Trifun.
St. Trifun is considered the patron of the fields, the patron of the grape fields and grape owners. In his honor, 14th of february people visit vineeyards and symbolically cut one piece off the vines believing to bring a year rich with grapes.

St. Valentine is usually celebrated by young people.

Isn't it great, celebrating love with wine...
Wishing you love throughout the year.
Wishing you have each day full of love..

Happy Valentine's Day!
