The street food in Tianjin

You simply cannot help but be impressed by the magical power of the the street vendors.

At first sight they do look dirty and disgusting.

Then you get enchanted by the rich smells. At least I was. For one thing I'm sorry. I can tell you stories, show you photos, but I can't give you the smell here.

Anyhow, yesterday I had one of these unusual pancakes. They are called Jian bing Guo zi. It's a pancake (with an egg on it) rolled over with some stuff (sometimes dough sticks), some scallion and some dont-ask-me sauces. Yummy!

Off to my book now.

I love this pancake, very yummy. No chocolate in China, so glad you brought some of your own.

Great photos, looking forward to your next post.

Take care, Ev
