Enjoying a festive winter outing

Bing jiang Dao: Tianjin's Walking Street (滨江道), hundreds of stores on one long walking street. This is the place to go shopping in Tianjin. There are stores here that sell nearly every kind of clothing, shoes, jewelry, watches, and accessories. Large malls, department stores, street vendors..But it can get noisy and so tiring with all the people shouting out things they sell in the shops.

There is a great food alley where you can get Chinese, Korean, Japanese snack, skewered food, squids, hot soup, all sorts of tasty snacks.

I especially liked the skewered lamb. Honestly, I didn't like lamb that much before. But this spiced skewered lamp is just too tasty. I couldn't resist.

Tianjin Eye is a 120-metre (390 ft) tall giant Ferris wheel built in 2008. It is claimed to be the only such wheel to have been constructed over a bridge.

Chinese people don't really celebrate this New Year because they have Spring Festival, which like a Chinese New Year. (will post about it later, in few weeks.)
But they like western holidays, go shopping, enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Apart from being freezing cold, I spent a lovely day.
