My world - our beauty * My World Tuesday #4 *

My Sunday trip to a local monastery.

The Monastery of Lesnovo is one of the most significant religious and cultural centers in Eastern Macedonia, with a long history that probably begins in the 11th - 12th century.
A walk in the nearby forests and valleys is a unique experience – in the vicinity of the village there are the cave churches – the icons painted on the walls hold a special authentic expression.
The road up from the monastery winds through breathtaking rock formations and caves.

Please join My world Tuesday and enjoy the gorgeous photos.

Have a sunny day!
