The Queen!

I called my ego, the Queen. She wants everything, right now. She wants to be the best, to be praised, to be liked..
No, my dear queen, no. You won't get that.
And sometimes she wants to play the victim! Agrrhh..I won't let her.

Thank you, Eckhart Tolle.

"Don't seek happiness. If you seek it, you won't find it, because seeking is the antithesis of happiness. Happiness is ever elusive, but freedom from unhappiness is attainable now, by facing what is rather than making up stories about it."

"Wherever you look, there is plenty of circumstantial evidence for the reality of time—a rotting apple, your face in the bathroom mirror compared with your face in a photo taken 30 years ago—yet you never find any direct evidence, you never experience time itself. You only ever experience the present moment."

"Why do anxiety, stress, or negativity arise? Because you turned away from the present moment. And why did you do that? You thought something else was more important. One small error, one misperception, creates a world of suffering."

Dear friends, find some time for a good book. Have a ego-less weekend!

what a great reality check.
I usually don't expect anything from life. I like to let things unfold for the most part.
But, and this is a big but... I do like to make up stories.

Oh. My queen is sooooo guilty! Thank you for the insight ... I must try more often to live in the present. Some of the happiest moments in life are only recognized AFTER they pass by, not in the moment itself.

I wish for you a HAPPY weekend!!!

Ahh.. I still have fights with the Queen.

One BIIIIIIIGGGG thank you. It's wonderful when you know you're not the only. I sometimes think I'm going crazy (but that's the Queen).

Have a PRESENT weekend!
Hugs to you all!
