Beautiful photos and thanks for the info.
We also use the expression "the devil is beating his wife" for this phenomena but I didn't know it's called sunshower.
I took some photos too in the same weather conditions two days ago.

Beautiful photos - the second one is gorgeous and the first one reminds me of a scene from Jurassic Park. Sunshowers are actually quite common here, as we get a lot of very localized thunderstorms late in the day and if you're under the trailing edge you're probably in the sun.

Stunning reflections of sun, sky, clouds and raindrops. Sunshowers. I'll have to remember that - I've seen it happen, but not often.

Both images are good. I do like the perspective of the first. Nice work.

Two excellent reflection photos! In the top one I like the look of the water drops and the sun's rays add so much to the bottom one.

I've been brought up with sunshowers - I walked home in one a few evenings ago - bright and sunny but still needed the umbrella. Cool shots Dani :) Rosie

Splendid skywatch & reflections. I think it's great when the two themes merge. I had not heard of sunshowers either but have experienced them.

The sun doesn't play a major role in these shots and yet they rely on it for their beauty.
